Partnerships

We appreciate all our Partners. The efforts and generosity of our partners in their giving have significantly enhanced Hope Haven’s addiction recovery and prevention efforts for the men, women and families we serve each year. If you are interested in joining the fight to “Bring Hope to Life” for our friends in recovery, please contact the Development office and someone will assist you. Thank you for your interest in Hope Haven. Bank of America

Hope Haven has been working to break the cycle of homelessness and addiction in our community for nearly 40 years. The organization has grown steadily in response to community needs, opening two new facilities in the past three years. We are thrilled to be part of Neighborhood Builders and be recognized as a high-performing nonprofit making a significant impact in the community. Bank of America has provided us with $200,000 in unrestricted funding and leadership development resources for our CEO Alice Harrison  and emerging leader Joslyn Blackburn. Hope Haven understands every business is challenged to create new revenue streams to ensure its future sustainability. Bank of America’s generous investment in our organization will enable Hope Haven to create new social ventures through expansion of its already successful food services training program – including the Taste Of Hope Catering company. The new social ventures are being designed  with three outcomes in mind: to provide exciting new food venue(s) for the Charlotte community; to provide jobs for those coming out of homelessness and addiction; and to create new sources of net revenue to help ensure sustainability for Hope Haven. These efforts transform our community by addressing the need for greater social and economic mobility for Charlotte’s most challenged citizens while creating exciting new food experiences for the greater Charlotte community.

Mecklenburg County ABC Board

Since 1948, the Mecklenburg County ABC Board has directed part of its profits back to the community through a statutory distribution under Alcohol Education.  As of June 30, 2015, the Board has returned $53,755,795 to organizations in our community that prevent, educate on the dangers of, and treat substance abuse.  Since 1996, part of that money has supported a grant program.  Eligible organizations designated as 501-C(3) according to the Internal Revenue Service who provide programming that specifically deals with substance abuse prevention, education, treatment, or research in the field of substance abuse have received financial support.
